City Views.

Jason took me to see what he does at work on Friday, He said he has been trying to take me for a while but our schedule's have been too busy. I was very impressed with the knowledge that Jason has of all this BIG machinery, I know he is studying hard at work and tafe but this has given me a in-sight as to how much he knows about his work, & the massive task it is to fix maintain and keep running all these air conditioners in these multi level buildings. Although is was very noisy I was very interested to see what a VSD and a Air cooled Chiller look like, as I have only seen photos. Friday was quite hot it was 30 degrees or more but on the roof it was really quite cool, there was a nice breeze blowing up on the 15th floor. I took my camera so i could get some photos of the city, that only a privileged person could take! (Lucky I'm that privileged person) It was a little hazy so I only took photos of the City views, as the mountains were really hazy from where i was standing. I hope you like the photos I was happy with them.

Thankyou Jason for taking me to see some of what you do at work, I may not understand all that you do but I now know the size of the machines you work with and I now know a little more about what you do and how things work. Trudie-lea

Well things could have been worse!

As it was jason's birthday I got up and Made his breakfeast on Monday, when jason left as it was my day off I decided that I would have a sleep in and I went back to bed. I woke up thinking I could smell something funny, I went into the kitchen and found that the Griller was leaking gas.

I phoned for a gas man and arranged to have one visit in the afternoon, so the short story is that our gas cooktop, wall oven and Griller are all leaking gas and are not safe to use.

So Jason and I have been gas applience shopping and have found a nice cooktop and Wall oven in stainless steel. We had a bit of trouble getting what we want especially since the shop attendant sold me a Electric oven and a Gas cooktop?????? Its a good thing that we realised and went and got him to order the gas one we wanted. Just so were clear I did ask him for a GAS cook top and Wall oven!

I am just thankful that im still here to talk about it! It could have been alot worse I may not have woken up from all the gas! It was lucky that i had the sliding doors open and there was a breeze.

Summer is here!

Summer has hit with a vengence It was so hot last weekend we were doing anything we could to keep ourselves cool, Jason Scruffy and Lulu decided that a swim or a dip in the pool would be a good idea! I thought taking photos was a better Idea!

Holiday at Twin Waters

We have been back a week now from our holiday at Twin waters, It was very relaxing, Just what we needed, before christmas.
Jason and I havent had a holiday for 8 months, since our trip to Melbourne.
we did some sight seeing then went to underwater world ,Shopping at Sunshine Plaza and kiwana waters. I have included some photos of our trip i was amazed at the fish tank at Under water world! its a Honda CRV! Jason said "thats the best use for a honda CRV Ive ever seen"
We spent most of the day at the aquarium we took the behind the sceens tour and saw the Scuba Divers feed the sharks stingrays and large fish from above where the tunnel is. The animal hospital dose some great work with turtles and the baby sting rays.
There was a golf torniment on at Twin waters golf club and Holden must have been a sponser, On monday night they put on a spectacular Fire works Display, I was very excited because i wanted to try out my new camera on the Manual settings at night, we got some great shots.
The resort had a big round pontoon with a trampoline in the middle for all the kids to play on in the water just off the man made beach area, you can see the Town house style accomodation available at the resort. The food was fantastic and we had a fantastic time, just so relaxing!

Our new 4x4 Holiday unit!

On Sunday we came home from camping with Johnson Controls saying we really need to get ourselves a Camper Trailer. So we are more comfortable and can go camping more often as set up will be quicker and easier. Jason found a camper on eBay for sale in Brisbane so he phoned up about it and the seller was willing to let us see it before purchasing it, (I didn't want to buy one site unseen) Jason went and had a look on Monday morning before he started work, he thought it was just what we wanted so he gave a deposit.
Before work on Thursday Jason went over to Shailer Park and picked it up, Chunky towed it home effortlessly! (after purchasing a converter plug for the trailer lights). The Trailer comes with a gas bottle holder (gas bottle included) 2x Jerry can holders, spare wheel, Tool box, King size bed with access pannels to the trailer, kitchen (with gas burners included) and a full annex.
We are both itching to try it out now so the next long weekend in my roster we will be off to the great outdoors! We put the camper up today to take these photos but we dont have enought yard space to put the annex on Jason will just have to take his study books with him! (He starts TAFE Monday)

Attack of the Bucket head!

On Thursday Lulu went to see Dr Frank (The Vet) Jason dropped her off as he is working mid morning to Midnight shift! when I picked her up at 6.30pm she was still very groggy and sleepy from her little operation. when we got home I had the task of putting on the BUCKET! so that she doesn't rip her stitches out. I felt really sorry for her, one because the bucket has to stay on for 2 weeks and two because she was so tired from the anaesthetic that she couldnt keep her head up with the cone on. She keeps running into things including my legs. She slept beside jason's side of the bed all night as was very snuggly after she came home from the Dr's surgery. I am pleased to let you know that she is much brighter today and although she is still running into things she is doing very well.
