Playschool Concert.

Cheryl and I took Kayla and Liam to the playschool concert on Saturday the 21st of may. It was at Aspley state high school. We took seats and the side of the stage about 4 or 5 rows back from the stage. Alex and Emma were the presenters for the day and the story was about Prince Big Ted who had lost his way to the castle. He came across a farm and a stream and a forest, before he got to the castle. Along the way we sung and danced to Farmer Little Ted had a farm, Galumph went the little green frog, and many others!
After the show I got some photos of Liam, Kayla and Cheryl.
During the show Liam decided to go down to the front of the stage to get a better look and have more room to dance. I was a little worried at the start that he would run away but I soon realised he was just enthusiastic and wanted to join in with the other kids. so I moved to the front row so I could watch him. He had a ball dancing and waving at Alex. I didn't realise just how much Liam loves music and dancing.

Camping over the Labour Day Weekend.

I always try to maximise our time as a family without Jason having to take too many days off work, I have found that Easter is a great time to have holidays as there is always a way of taking 2 or 3 days off and with the public holidays included you end up with 11 days off. I call it smart holidays!
This year we decided to go camping at Flanagan's Reserve, It's near Rathdowney.
Its a very nice place, although it rained a little and was quite windy at times we had a great time.
Grandma, Grandad & Barloo Rochford came to visit us for the day. Liam was lucky to have Grandma take him for a walk on his little bike. To give Mummy and Daddy a break for a while.
We had a very nice time and will be going back with Grandma and Grandad when their camper trailer is finished.

Farewell my faithful friend.

Last evening we had to make the hardest decision ever, Scruffy has been unwell for a few nights he spent Monday inside,on his bed all day, his back legs have been collapsing from under him and he had lost allot of weight in the last few months. I had a feeling he was suffering, but I like everyone in our family love scruffy with all my heart, he had been the best friend to me for eleven and a half years, and the thought of him not being with me is not one I wanted to consider.
But for his sake we took him to see frank the vet Wednesday night, He said that Scruff had lost 2kg and his back legs and spine had Arthritis and were seizing on him. Frank said that we could take him home with lots of pills and keep him without pain for a few days but it would only be for our sake not his...
So we decided to say goodbye to our lovable ball of fur. For his sake and to end his pain.
I however and struggling with the loss of a friend who provided me with much comfort when I was hurting, lonely, & sad. He was a companion who provided me with so many happy memories and belly laughs. He gave more to me than I could have ever asked.
From the day I saw him pressed against the chain wire at the Nikenba animal shelter he was my faithful friend.
May he be happy and safe where he is with lots of soccer balls to play with, and swimming pools to dive in, and someone to hold and scratch him until we meet again.
