Christmas Camping 2011
A Huge Thank you to Jessica, Adam, and their family for letting us stay on their property this week, It was so great to be able to spend some time with you all. Apart from both us mum's being very tired, we had a fantastic time. I think you have just cemented in our minds just how much we want to have some land, even if we can't have 40 acres, we can at least have a couple to play with. I know now just how much a shed would help to keep Jason happy.
We all really Enjoyed Wet Side! What a great place Liam just couldn't stop saying more! He loved it! We will definitely have to go back there next time we are in town!
Here are some Pics of us all enjoying the water at wet side Hervey Bay.

Birthday Dinner for Jason.
We will be going out to dinner this evening, to the Steak and Crab House at the Belverdere hotel. I have Invited family and friends along, so that we can relax and enjoy the evening instead of cooking all day and not being able to enjoy the company. The Belverdere has a kids playground and Im positive Liam will make good use of it, along with his cousin Alex. I have made a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, and I have also made a Bi-plane cake topper to go on it. The whole cake is edible as the plane is made from Cake pop mixture.
We had a fantastic evening with our family and friends at dinner. Liam and Alex had a great time together. The playground was well used. and i think Grandma was worn out when she left. It was great to see Jason m, Michael and James h with his partner Jess. Thank you to everyone for coming I know it was a long way for Jason's family, Shane, and Brenda, and Tanya, Tristan, and Alex to come. We hope you all had a great time as we did.

Liam's Swimming Lessons.
On the 24th of November Liam had his first Swimming Lesson. I have enrolled him at Sandgate public pool in their swimming classes, he is in the Swordfish class. I was prompted to start the lessons sooner rather than later as we went to the Newmarket pool the friday before and Liam tripped over the corner of the water slide in the kiddies pool and went under. He did not even try to get up he just layed there under the water. I however was on the ball and pulled him out in a matter of seconds but I realised that he needs to learn to help himself as well as mummy watching lake a hawk! So the lessons have started, he is doing well, he dosen't like doing the safety slides into the water or jumping into the water with out a little pull on the leg from mum, but that is to be expected. he is great at monkeying along the wall and Loves the Mat run! ( except the jump into the water at the end of the mat run) After 4 lessons he has come a good way and is now getting better with every lesson. Grandma came with us this week and took some photos for me.
The Wiggles In Concert.
On Friday the 9th of December i took Liam to see the Wiggles in concert. I was told by my friend Michelle on the Thursday before that she had bought tickets on ebay cheap, she sent me a link to the seller and I put in a offer well below the purchase price and had to wait to see if I got the 2 tickets. I did and allot cheaper than if I had purchased them from ticketec. (I know i'm stingy)Friday morning I packed to go and took Cody to the vet,( for his 16 week Injections) then came home and printed off our tickets and went to the concert. Liam had photos taken at the Big red VW and also Inside in the actual wiggles Big red car! with Connor, Sienna and Mark. The stage was round and the whole concert was held in a big circus tent!
It was great to see that the Purple Wiggle (Jeff) was back for his first concert after having Heart surgery and having a pace maker put in, although he is looking a little older and his hair is going grey ( mine would too if I had heart trouble) But he kept up with the energetic dancing and music playing. I can really understand how they make so much money each year they are fantastic at keeping the kids entertained and getting even the mum's and dad's dancing, I must say the songs are so catchy I don't mind dancing with my little man. Needless to say Liam had a fantastic time so much so that I had trouble keeping him close by. He gets so into the music he lets the music take him to the best vantage spot. He even followed the Yellow wiggle up the back of the tent when he was collecting cardboard Bones and Flowers for Waggs the dog and Dorothy the Dinosaur. (I was lucky he went past where Michelle and Mark were sitting as they stopped him from going too far) My opinion is if there is ever another Wiggles concert in Brisbane I will not hesitate to buy full price tickets for our little man, the concert was great!

Weekend away with the Opitz Family!
This weekend was very special for me, Jason took a half day friday and Liam and I had a little adventure together on the Trains to get to Toowong shopping centre where daddy would pick us up to go to the Gold Coast. We stayed at Treasure Island Holiday park for the night friday, where we met up with our friends Jessica, Adam, and their kids Mikaela (10), Gabriela (7), and 4 month old Baby Wyatt.
They were having their yearly holiday to the coast and we were very lucky to be able to join them. On Friday the kids were at "Kids Club" cooking when we arrived but soon after they were out and taking Liam on the "Air Cushion" He had a ball with the girls especially since they dote on him and he just loves all the attention. That evening was a short walk to McDonalds for dinner and a play at the playground. We all enjoyed the free little McFlurry desserts that were being handed out. Oh and the raspberry cheesecake at the McCafe.
After a restless night in a strange bed we all met up after breakfast (& a play at the Play ground), and went to the pool for a swim, but as it was cold water I chickened out with Liam and we went into the spa. We were joined by Mikaela and Gabriela. Where we all practiced Liam's swimming songs, Kicking, Bubble blowing and Paddling. After swimming Jessica and I toddled down the road to Harbor Town leaving the guys to relax and have a few beers, while supervising the Girls. We grabbed some groceries to make a Christmas lunch. This is when we saw Santa in his sleigh drumming up business for Christmas. (making sure kids are nice and not naughty of course) well both Liam and Wyatt were perfect angels as they were asleep!
Christmas dinner was Roast chicken, Coleslaw, Potato Salad, Pasta Salad and a green Salad with Fresh French Stick! Yum yum! The perfect Queensland Lunch for people without a means to cook food for a feast, such as Christmas Lunch.
Liam was spoilt with his favorite character PJ's and a Chuggington Book that plays the theme song. We gave Jessica's family our Play station 2 with all the games and Wyatt who at the moment cant enjoy the PS2 got a Little Christmas suit and matching hat. Our stay was topped off with a jump on the Air cushion by Liam, Daddy and Jessica's girls. I was sad to leave this little slice of paradise not because of the holiday park but because these people are my family and I love spending time with them. Jess is the sister that I always wanted and Adam is the Brother in law that I would have wished my sister to marry. Mikaela, Gabriela and Wyatt are the cousins liam will grow up playing with and spending time with. I bet he cant wait for Wyatt to start walking so he can lead him astray! Love you all guys, thanks for a great weekend.

Bribie Island 4 wheel drive and Fishing day trip.
Jason and I took Liam to Bribie Island on sat 19th of November for a family day out. We did a bit of 4 wheel driving on the sand and a spot of fishing. Liam had a ball, he loved fishing with his Liam size rod. Although Jason was not so impressed when Liam was waving the rod around and hooked Jas in the head. It was a really nice day, not too hot and a nice breeze blowing. The only down side was that Jas remembered the beach as being quite secluded, but now there is a camping ground there and people are towing big caravans in on the sand, causing huge ruts in the track. (Typical someone has to go too far and ruin it for everyone else)There were a few families there swimming and making allot of noise so needless to say we didn't catch a fish. Liam was a bit disappointed he wanted to catch a shark. Like they do on "ifish". Next time buddy, next time!

Wyatt's Baptism
Sunday was a beautiful day, sunny and warm (hot at times) it was a perfect day to have a party. We attended the Baptism of Wyatt Michael in the Tiaro secret Heart catholic church. After the service I took some family photo's for Jess, Adam and family and then we went to the Hideaway for drinks and a celebration. It was just lovely to be able to share with Jessica and Adam the baptism of wyatt and also time. Jessica and her family mean so much to me, I treat them as I would my own family. Distance and family commitments have in the past kept us apart, but I always knew she was there if I needed her. I love you all so much, thank you for a great weekend.
Jason Thank you for taking us away for the weekend so I could see jess and family I know It is draining to drive all weekend and not get to rest.
