What have wee been up to?

We have been busy of late, tidying up the very front yard, making firewood out of the fallen trees, left behind by the previous owner. Liam and Daddy have had fun with our new big boy toys, like a trailer for the Ride on mower. Liam has been unwell for a week and a half with croup, So we have been stuck inside,& There is only so many times that I can watch Toy Story 1 2 & 3 so we have been baking cakes and biscuits, Building block towers, Making Sticker pictures & Playing with Play Dough.I'm very happy that he is well again and we can venture outside, although It started raining today! (I am happy for the rain it is great for the vegetable gardens) Liam with the first zucchini's from our vegetable garden. Inside activity's while Liam has been unwell for a week and a half with croup. Mummy helps Liam build a huge Tower and Liam takes great delight in knocking it down! Helping Daddy Put together our new Ride on mower Trailer. Liam Lulu & Cody Ridding in the new Wheelbarrow/Trailer... Lots of fun. Liam and Daddy take a load of firewood and kindling down to the house. Liam In the 4th (and final) Vegetable garden, Talking to the seedlings and patting them to help them grow.

We had a very busy day yesterday the 12th June with the soil testing done and also the 3 stumps at the front of our block stump ground. Leaving us the clean up to do up the front and then we can start planting (probably in Spring just in case we get frosts) Liam had a wonderful day yesterday watching the men at work with their drill and big stump grinder, because like all boys big and small he LOVES machinery! I am very happy that the stumps are gone as now we wont have to go to the trouble of burning them out Getting started on stump no 1 Getting started on stump no2 The stump grinder! More Improvements to our new home

We had Solar Electricity Installed on our new home on the 14 may, we have invested in a 5kw Inverter and have 3 kw of panels, we are hopping to expand the system to 5 kw in the future. We are told that the panels will become cheaper once the government rebate is taken away. so we will wait and see...

New to the Rochford's House

Our New Fire Place was installed on the 28th of may, So we are now ready for Winter! I have some photo's of the before and after. We just love the look of the fireplace its just so nice to sit and relax in the lounge with the fire burning. There is just something about a fire that a air-conditioner just cannot provide.
